WEB DESIGNER/PROGRAMMER

We are looking for a Web Designer/Programmer for a small and established creative design agency with a diverse client base. You will be working with existing designers and developers and will be expected to manage your own projects and work as part of the team where necessary. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and resourceful, with excellent communication, organisation and planning skills.

Technical Skills Required:

1. Creating front-end web design, including designing interfaces, style guides and email campaign and newsletter templates.
2. Practical knowledge of one or more of the following languages:
   • HTML (Essential)
   • CSS (Essential)
3. Experience in building and working with Content Management Systems like WordPress/Drupal/Joomla or other similar online applications.
4. Crafting a fluid and exciting user experience driven by flawless UI design.
5. Implementing W3C standards in browsers/cross platform deployment of sites (XHTML, CSS based layouts etc.)

Knowledge and skills desirable:

1. Confident and comfortable meeting clients and discussing their requirements
2. At least 3 years of commercial experience within the design field
3. Knowledge of any of the following (or, if not, a willingness to learn):
   • PHP
   • MySQL (Essential)
4. Server hosting management skills
5. Integration of social network platforms
6. Developing and managing web-based e-commerce solutions
7. Experience in SEO
